PAINTED LEATHER A-2 FLYING JACKET WORN BY T/SGT JOSEPH R. RODRIGIUEZ, RADIO OPERATOR-GUNNER, MEDALS AND PHOTOS AND CLIPPING. The reverse of the jacket is painted with the legend “THREE KISSES FOR LUCK” over a scantily clad female astride a silver B-24. On the left front is a squadron patch and on the right 30 silver bombs indicating missions flown. Ridgrigiuez’s name is stenciled in the lining of the jacket. Manufactured by Perry Sports Wear Newburgh, N.Y. Included in the lot are his Air Medal and Purple Heart contained in their original presentations cases, 16 photographs including award presentations, B-24’s and other crew members. A “Pilot and Crew Member Physical Record Card”, an authorization for the wear of decorations, and a newspaper clipping round out the collection. SIZE: 38. CONDITION: The jacket is well worn, cuffs and waistband are in poor condition but appear to be original to the jacket. Medals are fine. Cases are slightly worn.
