UNSIGNED (American 19th/ 20th Century). HUNTING IN A CONNECTICUT MEADOW. Oil on canvas scene shows a hunter firing off a shotgun at a recently flushed group of quail. Two are falling victims of the shot while five fly away. Two bird dogs at point. A late afternoon landscape with fields and houses in the background. Housed in its original gilt molded wood frame. Back of frame is written “Mr. Dupper Bridgeport CT”. SIZE: 18” x 24”. CONDITION: Surface dirt and imperfection in canvas around dead quail, otherwise very good. 9-73209 (800-1,200)
