RARE 1303 SIMON & HALBIG LADY CHARACTER. The Simon & Halbig firm produced a series of 1300 characters. These dolls were of exceptional quality and molding and generally highly sought after by collectors of German dolls. This particular doll features a well molded woman with highly defined facial features, brown glass sleep eyes and is on a ball jointed composition body (older repaint). Her bisque is of exceptional pale quality and she has no distractions such as eye chips or cheek rubs. A braided mohair wig and a fanciful ecru colored dress further add to her appeal.
