NEW ENGLAND PINE SIX BOARD BLANKET CHEST IN ORIGINAL SPANISH BROWN PAINT. Rectangular hinged lid with molded edge fitted to conforming case opening to an interior fitted with till. Case with bootjack ends and lower molding. Late 18th/early 19th Century. SIZE: 24″ h x 45″ l x 18-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Overall very good with original brown paint. Front of chest has been skinned to some degree but still showing good brown coloration. Feet original with no visible restoration. Backboards good. Shrinkage crack visible along upper right front running horizontal to ground. 9-91462 (500-750)
