PIERRE JULES MENE (French, 1810-1879) ON POINT. Fine bronze of a hunting dog in pointing stance with tail straight out and front right paw up with head level and cocked to the right. Dark brown patina. Dog stands on a naturalistic base which is signed “PJ Meme”. No foundry mark present. Unknown edition. SIZE: 6” h x 12-1/2” l x 4-1/2” w.
