*COIRIER DAMASCUS DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. Extremely light, French-made shotgun with 27-1/2’ Damascus bbls, choked IMP-CYL/CYL with concave matted rib having the maker’s name and address of “Paris”. The box lock receiver is coin finished and lightly engraved with arabesque patterns and fitted with Greener crossbolt and has a thumb safety on the top tang. The French word for ‘safe’ inlaid in gold. Wood is very nicely figured French walnut with full checkered splinter forearm and straight stock with teardrop side panels, 13-1/4” over a Pachmayr pad. It has narrow European swing swivels with double triggers and extractors. The forearm, in the center diamond, has the gold initials, “H.R.” or “R.H.”. SN 307. CONDITION: Very fine, bbls retain 75-80% fading original pattern, the receiver about 80% coin finish while the floorplate opening lever and trigger guard retain most of an old refinish. Wood is sound and retains most of a professionally restored finish. Strong bright bores. 4-49115 JR56 (600-1,000)
