ANTHONY THIEME (American, 1888-1954) GLOUCESTER SCHOONERS. Oil on canvas harbor scene shows a number of schooners setting sail, some with figures on deck. Unsigned but having Anthony Thieme Boston, MA stamp (Boston Studio Stamp) on canvas and stretcher. Before moving to Rockport in 1929 Thieme had a studio in Boston. Housed in a period gilt molded wood frame. SIZE: 24″ x 30″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-98297 (3,000-5,000)
