PIERRE JULES MENE (French, 1810-1879) CHEVAL A LA BARRIERE. Bronze of a standing horse beside a naturalistic twig fence. Signed on base “P.J. Mene”. A nice old casting. SIZE: 11-1/2″ h x 16″ l x 5-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: Estate of Henry A. Rudkin Jr, (family of the founders of Pepperidge Farm). CONDITION: Nice dark brown patina. The horses ears have been slightly bent at the tips and scuffed. 9-21493 (500-1,000)
