JUMEAU LADY DOLL. Circa 1900 French lady doll with closed mouth head, stamped in red “DEPOSE TETE JUMEAU 5” with brown paperweight eyes, pierced ears, nice even coloring on slender French wood and composition lady body with realistic lady proportions. She is dressed in a copy of an Edwardian costume made of crushed dark gold velvet with elaborate embroidery trim with marked white leather Jumeau shoes stamped “DEPOSE JUMEAU 6”. The wig is most likely original and is honey human hair and is pulled in a bun in the back. She is complete with a faux fox fur wrap. SIZE: 18″ (46cm). CONDITION: Very good to excellent with minor paint flaking on hands and small surface flake chip on left outer ear lobe. 1-10793 (2,500-3,500)
