HARRIET WHITNEY FRISHMUTH (American, 1880-1980) GIRL WITH FROG. Bronze ashtray has a seated nude woman with arm extended pointing at a small frog on the rim of the wide dish. Nice brown bronze patina. Signed on edge “Copyright 1910 Harriet W. Frishmuth #60”. A blurred foundry mark which looks like Gorham Oer? Bottom is filled with cement. SIZE: 5-3/4” h x 6-3/4” w x 5-3/4” d. CONDITION: Very good. Foundry mark has scratches. 9-72968 (3,000-5,000)
