UNUSUAL CONTINENTAL BEECH CHAIR TABLE. Late 18th Century. Oval plank top hinged on a rectangular base with hinged lid and open well. Sides mortised and dovetailed with scalloped edges and pierced cutout decorations joined by a stretcher with scalloped and molded edges, raised on stepped shoe feet. SIZE: 26-1/2″ h x 50″ w x 37″ d. CONDITION: Overall older skinned finish with considerable old staining and wear to top. Frontal holes drilled for pegs have damages, otherwise with overall acceptable wear. 9-91354 (1,500-2,500)
