WALTER LAUNT PALMER (American, 1854-1932) WINTER SENTINELS. Unsigned oil on masonite winter landscape shows three evergreens at top of snow covered ridge casting shadows down the hill. Identified on reverse with artist name and housed in a modern fancy gilt frame. Our consignor acquired the painting from William Postar who acquired it from the artist’s Estate or the Robert Emmett Owen Estate, both of which Vose Galleries of Boston, MA was handling.
