UNSIGNED (American, 19th Century) PAIR OF ANCESTRAL PORTRAITS. Pair of unframed portraits show middle age man and woman in fancy black clothes. Brown backgrounds. Previously framed with oval window. Woman has fancy gold cross and chain and cameo type gold drop earrings. Man has brown hair and long sideburns. Dated on reverse “1877” and appear to have inscription on canvas, which can not be read and may be sitter or artist. SIZE: 30” x 25”. CONDITION: A few scrapes, generally good. 9-96511 (500-1,000)
