Signed large engraving shows Roman classical chariot race with falling horses, several four horse chariots in full gallop and large crowd in Athens type setting. Pencil signed lower left “V Checa” with remark of artist. Pencil signed on right by “Maurice Deville”. Housed in a fine gilt molded wood frame with white line matte. At top of print “London Published August 22nd 1891 by L. H. Lefevre King Street St. James’s Copyright Registered Printed by A. Salmon & Ardail, Paris”. SIGHT SIZE: 22-1/2” x 33-1/2”.
