*RARE ENGRAVED MERIDEN MODEL 15 PUMP RIFLE. CAL. 22 Short, long or long rifle. Deluxe engraved rifle with 24″ oct. bbl, 7/8 magazine, thumb safety on top tang, checkered wood with small tapered round forearm and straight stock with crescent steel buttplate. The bbl has Remington style sights. The receiver is engraved on the sides with rabbits on the left and squirrels on the right with modest arabesque patterns. It is the catalogers opinion that engraved Meriden rifles are one of the more scarce pieces in the 22 collecting field. SN 23952 CONDITION: The bbl retains 92-94% strong bright orig. blue, the magazine tube about 90% and the receiver about 90% thinning blue with the balance flaked to a light patina. The wood is sound with a couple of small bruises to the checkering on the wrist and moderate wear on the forearm, otherwise retains most of a fine old restored finish.
