*SPECTACULAR ENGRAVED REMINGTON MODEL 10F PUMP SHOTGUN. CAL. 12ga. Deluxe engraved Model 10 in the style reminiscent of Nimschke with 30″ ventilated rib full choke bbl. The rib is concave with double beads and extends in a raised panel above the receiver. The receiver is fabulously engraved with game scenes of flying mallards in a marsh scene on the right side, three bird dogs and quail in a woodland scene on the left side and a standing woodcock at the top rear of the receiver. It is all surrounded by wonderful stylized arabesque and leaf patterns with chain boarder on the sides, punch dot background, arabesque and leaf and vine patterns on the bottom with more arabesque patterns on the top of the receiver and top tang. The matching engraving patterns are extended 3-1/2″ over the chamber area of the bbl. The trigger bow is also engraved with a punch dot background and deep relief engraved the initials “A.C.B.” deep relief engraved. The serial numbers are also hand engraved on the bottom of the receiver and bottom tang. The wood is very highly figured, marble cake honey and gold Circassian or French walnut with a full checkered, ribbon carved forearm with scalloped edges. The buttstock with its full checkered round knob grip is 15″ over a solid red pad. SN U13922 CONDITION: Excellent, plus. The metal retains 96-98% dark orig. blue with minor edge wear and a spot or two of light rust with a larger spot on the left front edge of the receiver. The wood is sound with the forearm retaining virtually all of its orig. finish. The buttstock is also sound and retains about all of a professionally restored finish that is somewhat lighter and less red than the forearm. The right side panel of the stock apparently was damaged and the edges rounded during the refinish. This is a wonderful factory engraved Remington that needs additional research. 4-45504 JL334 (8,000-12,000)
