*ITHACA MODEL 1923 “KNICK” 5E SINGLE BARREL TRAP GUN TWO BARREL SET. CAL. 12ga. A beautiful 5E engraving of floral and leaf patterns with a standing silver pheasant on the left side and a silver woodcock on the right side and an American eagle on the bottom. The bbls are both 32″ vent rib. One with dbl ivory beads and the other with an orange Nydar type front sight and ivory center bead. The forearm is typically Ithaca, tapered beaver tail with a black triangle tip. The buttstock is straight grip with checkered side panel and fleur di lis checkered wrist, 14-1/4″ over a Morgan pad. Accompanied by a certificate from Ithaca Gun Co. identifying this shotgun and stating that it was made on May 18, 1923 and shipped to Windsor Morris. It further states that the “KNICK” was Ithaca’s most favorite trap gun and won more Grand American championships then any other American made trap gun. SN 400019T CONDITION: One set of bbls is finished bright with a matted rib and the other set has a satin finish that appears to be recently redone. The receiver is a silver metal color with no traces of orig. case colors. The wood is refinished, shows moderate to heavy wear and retains most of its custom varnish.
