*BROWNING AMERICAN MALLARD COMMEMORATIVE OVER UNDER SHOTGUN. CAL. 12ga. Spectacular Belgian made engraved superposed Browning with 28″ vent rib barrels. choked FULL/MOD with double ivory beads. The very highly figured oil finished wood is finely checkered with long tang and round knob stock, 14 3/8″ over a checkered butt. It is fitted with single selective gold trigger and ejectors. The receiver and trigger guard, in French gray, are spectacularly engraved in the style reminiscent of Angelo Bee with full coverage Arabesque patterns and game scenes of Mallard ducks in high relief gold in great detail in gold ovals on both sides. Each panel has two full bodied Mallards in flight with two more high relief flying Mallards on the bottom. The trigger guard has a high relief Mallard head on the bow. The bottom of the receiver is also inlaid in gold in a riband “AMERICAN MALLARD ANAS PLATYAHYNCHOS” and “062 OF 500”. Accompanied by its orig. red velvet lined walnut presentation case with full-length piano hinge and three latches with leather carrying handle. Ser. 8G4PM00062.
