*WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. CAL. .38-55. Standard grade rifle with 26″ round bbl, full magazine, Beech’s front sight, semi-buckhorn on rear sight and Lyman tang sight. It has uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. SN 267840. CONDITION: Very good-plus. The bbl. and magazine tube retain 94-96% strong orig. blue, the receiver with 92-93% bright blue with two or three areas of pitting and scattered fine pinpoints of surface rust. The lever retains about 60% bright case colors with the edge mostly silver. The hammer retains about 90% colors. The buttplate about 50% faded dull colors. The wood is sound and retains about 95% orig. varnish. Bright shiny bore. 4-44691 JL68 (500-800)
