*WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 SADDLE RING CARBINE. CAL. .30 Army (.30-40). Standard carbine with 22″ bbl, pedestal front sight and 1,800 yard ladder rear sight, hand guard with grasping groove forearm, straight stock with carbine/musket butt with trap. The buttstock is probably an old musket replacement, as it has a sling swivel base. There is a saddle ring stud on the left side of the receiver, missing the ring. SN 109135. CONDITION: Very good. Retains 90-93% bbl. blue, about 85% receiver blue, sound wood with the forearm and hand guard retaining about 95% orig. finish. The buttstock has what appears to be water stains near the buttplate. Strong bore, dark in the grooves, may clean better. 4-44673 JL61 (500-800)
