MODIFIED WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. CAL. 40-82. Originally a special order rifle with oct. to round bbl now reduced to 20 1/2″ with a button magazine, ivory bead front sight and 3-leaf carbine rear sight with Marbles tang sight. The wood is uncheckered with a straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. The trigger is single set. SN 94460 CONDITION: Good to very good. The bbl, bolt and magazine tube retain most of a fine refinish. The receiver and the rest of the metal retain about 50% heat coloring. The wood is sound and retains most of a refinish. Strong bore with good shine and scattered pitting. 4-45683 Z208 (500-700)
