WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. CAL. 45-70. Standard grade rifle with 26″ round bbl, full magazine, uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. The front sight has a German silver blade and the rear sight is a long ladder 1886 type sight. SN 110625 CONDITION: Very good. The bbl and magazine tube retains 93-95% dull, orig. blue. Receiver has 10-15% case colors with the balance faded to silver with scattered light surface rust. The wood is sound with traces of orig. varnish having an old oil finish. Strong bright bore with scattered pitting. 4-45293 JL221 (1,500-2,500)
