WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 SADDLE RING CARBINE. CAL: 40-82. Standard grade carbine with 22” round barrel, full magazine, uncheckered wood, with straight stock and carbine buttplate. The barrel is fitted with pedestal mounted front blade and an “1886” marked short ladder carbine sight. The left side of the case colored receiver has a sling stud and ring. SN 67660. Prov. Ex – Dr. Robert L. Moore. CONDITION: Very good-plus, the barrel and magazine tube retain 92-93% strong orig. blue with scabbard rubs on the upper part of the barrel. The receiver retains 50-60% faded case colors, turned silver on the bottom and front edges. Slight dings to screws. The wood is sound and retains most of a professionally restored finish with a bruise on the left side of the forearm and small chips from around the tangs. The buttplate retains traces of silvered case colors. Bright shiny bore with some scattered light pitting. 4-45304 Z109 (11,000-14,000)
