WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 MUSKET. CAL. 44 WCF. Standard musket with 30″ bbl, military sights, full-length forearm with two bbl. bands and musket butt with trapdoor buttplate containing an orig. four-piece iron and brass wiping rod. SN 481637. CONDITION: Good to very good. Retains a blue/brown patina on the bbl. with patches of pitting. The receiver retains about 60% thinning orig. blue with light surface rust. The wood is sound and shows much use and handling, with bruises and dings and a major gouge on the forearm. Good mechanics with bright shiny bore. 4-44650 JL57 (1,500-2,500)
