*WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 MUSKET. CAL: 44 WCF (44-40). Standard musket with 30” barrel, full-length forearm, three barrel bands, military ladder rear sight, uncheckered wood with musket/carbine buttplate, having a sliding brass trap. SN 570426. Prov. Ex – Dr. Robert L. Moore. CONDITION: Near mint, about new, retaining virtually all its orig. finish to both metal and wood. The receiver has a couple of small storage and handling nicks and one small line on the left side. The wood is near perfect, with only some minor surface mars. The lever, hammer and buttplate retain about all their orig. brilliant case colors. Brilliant shiny bore. 4-45301 JL107 (3,500-5,000)
