FINE WINCHESTER MODEL 1866 RIFLE. CAL. 44 Henry. 24-1/4” round bbl, standard markings on top of bbl. The rear sight has been replaced with a later, shorter type. SN 161379. Ex-The Collection of the late Dr. R. L. Moore Jr. Accompanied by a Buffalo Bill Historical Center letter identifying this rifle as having been shipped on October 30, 1883. CONDITION: Excellent mellow patina on the brass frame, strong traces of blue on the bbl. and magazine tube in protective places, otherwise blue/gray patina with spots of light surface rust and pitting. The wood is also fine with only minor handling marks. The bore is lightly pitted, action is fine. 4-45300 FS13 (8,500-12,500)
