WWII GERMAN LUFTWAFFE DRESS DAGGER. Unmarked blade with white plastic spiral handle, aluminum fittings with ball finial bearing the swastika on both sides and a spreadwinged eagle hand guard with a swastika in its talons. The sheath is pebble-grained aluminum with an oak leaf decorated tip and oak leaf decorated hanger with attached orig. hanger. Blue and silver straps and fittings with acorn and oak leaf decorations, which bear the German manufacturing and patent marks. There is a silver sword knot attached at the handle. CONDITION: The blade is fine with light drag marks and some very fine surface discoloration that should clean. Sheath is dark with some light oxidation. Hanger is fine and lightly oxidized. Sword knot has some loose threads and the handle is missing about half its twisted wire wrap. 4-45465 JL292 (300-500)
