STEVENS MODEL 44 SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. CAL. 25-20 single shot. Standard rifle with 26″ oct. to round bbl, missing and broken sights with a Lyman tang sight, uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. SN 55467 CONDITION: Good, plus. The bbl retains 65-75% blue turning plum, with the aforementioned broken and missing sights. The receiver retains 25-35% faded case colors, may show better with cleaning. The wood is sound with a couple of nail holes in the left side of the forearm, otherwise retains 75-80% orig. varnish, with a black oil streak down the right side of the stock. Strong bore with a couple of scrapes in the rifling. 4-44598 JL45 (300-600)
