PHOENIX SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. CAL. 45-90. Standard grade Phoenix rifle with 32″ round bbl, homemade brass blade front sight with a 2-position ladder bbl sight missing the slide. The unique action resembles a Remington Rolling Block with a Snider style swinging breech block. The wood is uncheckered with a semi-schnable forearm and straight stock with crescent steel buttplate. The bbl. is marked over the chamber area “V.KINDLER EAST SAGINAW”. SN 5632 CONDITION: About good. The bbl has a dark brown patina overall with scattered light spots of surface rust. Receiver has traces of silvered case colors with the balance being a dark patina. The stock has a replaced chip on either side of tang and a repaired toe. The wood bears most of an old refinish.
