REMINGTON HEPBURN NO. 3 SPORTING RIFLE. CAL. 40-2-1/2. Standard rifle with 3-1/4″ about No 4 weight oct. bbl. Homemade front sight and fixed rear sight. Uncheckered forearm with checkered round knob pistol grip stock and semi-crescent steel buttplate. SN 3850 CONDITION: Fair to good. The metal apparently polished bright is covered with a heavy coat of old dried oil and wood smoke. The wood has been sanded and retains most of an old refinish with a repaired crack in the wrist.
