COLT MARTIALLY MARKED 3RD MODEL DRAGOON. CAL. 44. Usual configuration and markings, 7-1/2″ bbl, German silver front sight, 3-leaf bbl sight, cut for shoulder stock with 4-screw frame, 1-pc walnut grips with brass trigger guard and iron back strap. SN 17444 CONDITION: About good. All matching numbers. The iron has been cleaned and artificially aged with a light brown patina. Cylinder retains no scene, but has most of its orig. pins. Hammer screw is a too short replacement, grips show much wear with a crack at the left heel, and vise marks on the right side. The mainspring is broken and the mechanism has a problem that will not allow the hammer to fall. Strong dark bore. 4-44525 JL22 (2,500-5,000)
