CASED STARR SINGLE ACTION ARMY PERCUSSION REVOLVER. CAL. 44. Fine Starr Army with 8″ bbl, blue and case colored, 1-pc walnut grip having a cartouche on both sides and inspector marks over the various parts. Accompanied by a walnut compartmented case with antique purple velvet lining, a small eagle flask and orig. Starr, single cavity conical bullet mold and an orig. packet of Starr Navy skin cartridges and a nipple wrench. The case, very likely, is one created several years ago by a gentleman who came into possession of some orig. cloth and walnut boxes. SN 39212 CONDITION: Very good, the bbl and cylinder retain 50-60% thin blue-brown, bright blue in sheltered areas. The frame retains 85-90% strong bright blue with some scattered pinpoints of rust. The trigger guard and back strap are mostly a gray metal color. The grip is fine, retaining most of its orig. finish with cartouches on both sides and inspector initial on the bottom. Excellent bright shiny bore with one or two small spots. The flask is very good, retaining about 80% orig. finish. Excellent mold and packet of cartridges. 4-45501 JL299 (5,000-7,000)
