PAIR OF CONVERTED SILVER MOUNTED KUCHENREUTER TARGET PISTOLS. CAL. .48. 10-3/8” ribbed bbl. “J. ANDEREAS KUCHENREUTER” inlaid in silver on top of each bbl; one of which is numbered 1 and the other number 2. There is also extensive silver line inlay on all visible surfaces of the bbls. There are gold horse and rider cartouches sunk at the rear of each bbl. The letters “EX” are stamped in the rear silver loop on each bbl. The trigger guards, buttplates, sideplates and thimbles all appear to be solid silver. The bores have microgroove rifling and both pistols have set triggers. Rear sights with two folding blades. Light carving on the stock around the rear of the bbl tang. NSN CONDITION: The metal has light surface rust and pitting. Both stocks are cracked and repaired, No. 1 through the rear bbl. key, and number 2 through the wrist. Small pieces of wood have been added.
