MIDDLE EASTERN MATCHLOCK MUSKET. CAL. about 70. Made with full-length 1-pc straight stock with 51″ cannon muzzle bbl having damascened decorations about 8″ up from the breech end and 4″-5″ at the muzzle with engraving at the end. All the bbl bands are missing and are now replaced with eleven bands of wrapped rawhide. The sides of the stock are decorated with small flowers and long strips of pierced metal. The trigger lever is fancy, pierced metal and the pan cover is missing. CONDITION: As previously mentioned, otherwise the metal retains a dark brown patina, the wood is sound with dark patina. 4-44768 JL237 (300-600)
