HARPERS FERRY MODEL 1816 TYPE I FLINTLOCK MUSKET. CAL. 69. Reconversion standard musket with 42″ bbl, 1816 dated lock plate and button head ramrod. 1-pc stock with outline of cartouches on the left side flat and the initials “NH” crudely carved in the buttstock. CONDITION: Mostly a dark brown patina on the metal parts with cleaned areas and heavy pitting around the breech end with burn out behind the pan. Stock has a couple of deep gouges and retains most of a refinish. 4-45687 JL194 (1,000-1,500)
