RARE 1899 UNION METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO. ADVERTISING CALENDAR. Scarce UMC calendar, 27-5/8″ tall, 13-1/4″ wide on an oil cloth body with the orig. December calendar page centered at the bottom. The image is very colorful with vignettes of “The Astor Battery” and “1st US Cavalry Rough Riders” with the battleship U.S.S. Oregon centered in between. On each side of the scroll, with company advertising, is a soldier and sailor in period uniforms. CONDITION: Trimmed, as noted with minor repairs at the bottom corners and another small repair by the calendar. There is a repaired tear at the top right corner and two others on either side of the calendar. Otherwise, the images are sharp and clear and the colors are crisp and bright. 4-45317 JL405 (1,750-2,750)
