DAHLGREN BAYONET.

DAHLGREN BAYONET. Usual configuration with 12″ blade, 1 5/8″ at the ricasso with brass hand guard and handle with wood grip, no scabbard. CONDITION: The only marking visible is on the right ricasso and appears to be the date “1863”. The iron being a dark crusty brown, probably covering any other markings. Small chips on the edges of the blade with some heavy pitting. The brass has a dark brown to black patina, the wood handle slightly shrunken but intact. 4-44720 JL104 (300-600)
