MIXED LOT OF CIVIL WAR SOLDIER’S PERSONAL ITEMS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUTTONS. A nice lot of smaller objects, most of which were typically carried by the common Civil War soldier. The lot consists of, 2 folding pocket knives, one an early horn gripped knife, the other a wooded gripped “penny” knife. 1 brass fleam with three blades, 2 war-dated Indian Head pennies, 1 straight razor, 1 ornate brass jaw harp, 1 “Army” percussion cap tin, 1 primer tin, a very nice folding knife, fork, spoon combination, Civil War period eyeglasses. Included also is a small silver cased set of tiny dice with card faces printed on them, very unusual. The buttons consist of a small lot of “navy” blazer type buttons, a group of tin back U.S. staff buttons and a lot of brass flat coin buttons. Finally, there is one stamped brass eagle militia cap device circa 1840, one Jeff Davis Hardee hat insignia and one small (possibly French) infantry horn insignia.
