LOT OF TWO AMERICAN SOCKET BAYONETS, SCABBARDS AND BELT. 1) US .58 caliber socket bayonet, unmarked in a partial later steel scabbard. CONDITION: Good, all metal is dark and uncleaned, inappropriate scabbard is stuck on bayonet blade. 2) US 45-70 caliber socket bayonet and scabbard. Late scabbard brass “U.S.” rosette and belt hook. The bayonet is secured to a late period brown leather belt with a cast brass U.S. Navy officer’s 2-piece tongue and wreath type belt plate. CONDITION: Fair. Bayonet shows much orig. blue, now faded dark. The scabbard is fair with a tear in the leather frog and the belt is very strong, the 2 piece belt plate is very nice. 4-45407; 45405 CW (200-300)
