SPENCER MODEL 1865 LEVER ACTION CARBINE. CAL. 50. Standard carbine with 20″ round bbl, square pedestal front sight and ladder carbine rear sight, fitted with Stabler cutoff. The left side of the stock and receiver fitted with a sling, ring and bar. The wood is uncheckered with straight stock and carbine buttplate. SN 23786 CONDITION: Good to very good. The metal retains a mottled brown patina overall with traces of silvered case colors on the receiver. The buttstock has a hairline on the left side at the buttplate over the magazine hole. Otherwise the wood is sound and retains most of a refinish. Strong bright bore with scattered pitting. 4-45290 JL249 (1,500-2,000)
