FOURTH MODEL BURNSIDE CIVIL WAR CARBINE. CAL. 54. Standard carbine with 21″ round bbl. pinched front sight with 2-position rear sight. Standard type with guide screw in the right side of receiver and sling bar and ring on the left side. Complete with wooden forearm and bbl band. SN 27228 CONDITION: Good. No orig. finish remains being an even brown patina with fine rust pitting over all the exposed metal surfaces. Wood is sound with minor nicks and dings and a dark oiled finish. Chamber has an empty brass cartridge case logged into it. Strong bright bore. 4-45700 JL179 (1,500-2,500)
