STARR CIVIL WAR CARBINE. CAL. 54. Standard Civil War carbine with 21″ bbl, pinched front sight with 2-position rear sight. The bbl and receiver with usual markings, uncheckered wood with straight stock and brass carbine buttplate. The forearm has a brass band. The left side of the chamber area with inspector marks. SN 8423 CONDITION: Fair to good. All the iron parts retain a plum-brown patina with some fine pitting on the floor plate. The wood is worn and battered with several cracks on the wrist and small losses from the forearm at the bbl channel. Strong dark bore that may clean. Missing the nipple. 4-45481 JL324 (1,250-1,750)
