EUROPEAN MANUFACTURED AMERICAN CIVIL WAR PERIOD PINFIRE REVOLVER MARKED C.S.A. A very nice example of an 1855-65 period European made Army size pinfire revolver of the type imported for use by officer’s of the Union and Confederacy. This particular example has “C.S.A.” stamped on the right side of the frame in old English letters. The stamping, while not recognizable as any type of official mark, was done sometime during the pistol’s period of use. Approximately 9 mm, with a part round/part oct.al barrel, iron frame and grip straps, checkered walnut grips and lanyard ring on the butt. Ejecting rod is mounted on the right side of frame. Double action. The pistol is unmarked and without proof markings or serial. There is a tiny undecipherable mark between each cylinder stop. CONDITION: Excellent, much orig. blue finish remains on the cylinder and in protected areas of the frame. All other metal parts are faded to gray with light spotty pitting here and there.
