FIRST MODEL LONDON LeMAT REVOLVER. CAL. about 11mm over 16 bore. Nine shot cylinder with a smooth bore center pivot, mounted underneath the bbl. 6″ oct. bbl with the top flat marked “LEMAT & GIRARD’S PATENT LONDON” with left side mounted rammer, articulated hammer nose with checkered 2-pc grip panels and an integral lanyard loop in the butt. The right grip flat has the initials “DLV” crudely carved and there is a fleur di lis stamped on the left grip flat. SN 8582 CONDITION: Fair. The bbl retains 30-40% thin blue, the cylinder 20-25% dull blue turning brown with the balance of the metal a brown patina. The rammer is a recent replacement and the shotgun bore with British proofs has a different serial number. The frame retainer pin, spring and screw are recent replacements. The rammer lever catch and retainer are both missing and the front sight is broken. The grips are sound and show much wear. The mechanics function but need attention. 4-45477 JL316 (7,500-12,500)
