UNMARKED FULL-STOCK PERCUSSION KENTUCKY RIFLE. CAL. 36. Simple Kentucky with 36″ oct. bbl, small brass front sight with fixed rear sight. The back action lock is game scene engraved and marked “J. COOK & CO./ TERRE HAUTE/INDA”. The forestock has an integral ramrod groove with brass cap, two guides and nose pipe with a small saddle guard, simple trigger guard and crescent buttplate. The top tang extends from the breech plug to the comb. The patent bolster is made of brass, missing the nipple. It has early style double set triggers. CONDITION: The bbl and hammer retain a dark heavy brown patina with heavy pitting and moderate burn out around the nipple area. The lock is mostly a dark gray patina. The stock is worn and very dark on the buttstock and areas of the forestock. 4-45710 JL351 (750-1,250)
