UNMARKED FULL-STOCK CONVERSION KENTUCKY RIFLE. CAL. 40. Fine early Kentucky with 41″ oct. bbl, small brass front sight with fixed rear sight. Brass mounted with a long nose cap, integral ramrod groove with two brass guides and nose pipe. Simple trigger guard with small sideplate and plain small 4-pc patch box with crescent buttplate. The wood is tiger striped through the stock and the applied striping on the forestock has mostly worn away. CONDITION: The iron retains a dark brown heavy patina with scattered light surface rust, heavy pitting around the nipple and lock plate area with heavy burn out behind the nipple. The double set trigger functions but the hammer will not cock. The stock has two or three repaired cracks and a missing sliver from the bbl channel and repaired crack through the wrist with some wood fill. 4-45711 JL350 (750-1,250)
