SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1855 PISTOL/CARBINE. CAL: 54. 12” round bbl. The numbers on the butt cap and stock yoke are both battered but appear to be “13” on the gun and “10” on the yoke. CONDITION: Iron surfaces have moderate pitting. The markings on the lock plate and primer cover are partially obscured. The rear sight is probably a replacement. Two of the notches are broken off. The stock has three cracks across the grip; one in front of the lock and one on the forearm. It has been sanded and refinished to cover earlier repairs. The wood on the buttstock has normal dents and scratches but is in much better condition than the gun. The bore is poor, lock is good. 4-45099 FS61 (3,000-4,000)
