SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1842 PERCUSSION MUSKET. CAL. 69. Usual configuration with 42″ bbl. Iron mounted with 3 bbl bands and tulip head iron ramrod. The lock plate is dated 1845 with unit markings on the top tang and buttplate. CONDITION: Good. Mottled dark brown patina over all the metal surfaces. Sound wood with most of a recent refinish.
