REMINGTON MODEL 1841 MISSISSIPPI RIFLE. CAL. 54. Brass mounted rifle with 33″ bbl. Fixed sights, brass patch box, Remington marked lock dated 1849 with tulip head brass tip ramrod. CONDITION: Good. The metal retains a medium mottled brown patina with vice and wrench marks at the breech end of the bbl. The brass is polished to a bright yellow and the wood refinished. There is an extra hole in the wood back of the top tang with burn-out behind the nipple. 4-45688 Z192 (1,250-1,750)
