HAND SCROLL ATTRIBUTED TO XU BEIHONG (1895-1953).China, ink and colors on paper, finely depicting horses in various attitudes in a landscape, signed “Beihong,” dated “summer of guiwei year,” with one seal. SIZE: 8-5/8″ x 102″. PROVENANCE: Acquired from the Estate of Dr. Christopher Kain, Denver, Colorado, who was in China during the late 1930’s and early 1950’s as a member of a Christian medial missionary hospital in Shanghai.
